Position Description
SpringCM is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer who will work with Sales Account Executives on new and existing accounts. Ideal candidates must have previous experience working with Enterprise Content Management, CRP or related applications in a customer-facing role and have the ability to effectively communicate the value of SpringCM?s solutions (both functionally and technically) to prospective customers. This includes the ability to uncover business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, and create and effectively demonstrate solutions that address customer requirements. The candidate must have a fun and engaging personality, competitive work ethic and must not be technology phobic. The candidate must possess the desire to work in a high volume, start-up environment and have the ability to succeed in that environment. The candidates should be able to successfully balance multiple projects in a team-selling environment. Regardless of industry background, the candidate should have a demonstrable history of consistent work ethic and a positive attitude.
This job is ideally suited for someone who is seeking a long-term career in sales or business operations. This is a role that is well suited for a sales engineer who desires to work in a highly collaborative organization that provides growth potential and significant upside reward. At a minimum they should possess a bachelor?s degree.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
Understand customer goals and challenges, and establish SpringCM?s product as the best solution available
Build and present customized demonstrations
Present SpringCM technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with the value of cloud
Participate in all product, sales, and process training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective
Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management
Travel domestically
Required Background
Excellent communication skills ? written and verbal
Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment
Knowledge of related applications, relational databases, and web technology
Basic programming experience in HTML, XML and other web based technologies is beneficial
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, MBA, or equivalent work experience
Previous experience as a sales engineer

Excellent interpersonal skills
Enjoys working in a startup environment Is very comfortable leveraging Web 2.0 technologies (Web conferencing, etc.) to maximize sales productivity
Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills
