As a senior member of the National Sales Team, you'll drive and grow new business revenue with Fortune 1000 brands and the agencies that represent them. You understand and anticipate how marketing decisions are made, and you will persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. This is a senior, client-facing sales role requiring meaningful online advertising expertise, proven client management and engagement skills, and a broad base of advertiser and agency contacts. The candidate should be aggressive and results oriented, with a strategic focus, a high degree of organization and ability to work independently, and the desire to drive for results and revenue.
Build the Central Territory for StumbleUpon
Cultivate trusted high-level relationships with major advertisers and agencies across capabilities that result in significant advertising commitments.
Create consultative sales presentations using market trends, case studies and StumbleUpon data.
Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized solutions.
Provide and share key learnings and best practices with your peers.
Ensure that our clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service.
Execute and deliver high-quality answers to all RFPs.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth with new and existing customers.
Serve as the eyes, ears and mouth of StumbleUpon?s advertisers in ongoing product and technology planning efforts.
Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience with a strong academic record.
5+ years of digital media experience, included but not limited to publisher and/or agency background
Ability to work independently
Experience in and knowledge of search, display, brand content, mobile, and social media advertising.
Relationships with top decision makers at digital and creative agencies
Brand direct relationships, with particular focus on Entertainment, Media, Automotive, CPG, Retail and/or Travel brands.
Proven track record of driving meaningful incremental revenue by acquiring new clients.
Demonstrated ability to convert clients' spends from other mediums (including but not limited to TV and magazines) into StumbleUpon marketing relationships.
Extremely proactive, motivated, organized, responsible, and able to work well in a flat, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of StumbleUpon user behavior and product functionality.
Passion for StumbleUpon and its mission.
Willing to travel for client meetings and to StumbleUpon?s global HQ in San Francisco on a quarterly basis
