The Senior Sales Planner reports into the Director of Sales Support and is responsible for planning and all of the day-to-day sales planning duties. Planners serve as the primary sales support contact for the Sales Reps and as the secondary contact for Sales Reps assigned accounts.
Manage Sales Planning Team:
Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Sales Planning team; assuring that all daily, as well as long-term, projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner in support of all sales/partnership efforts.
Report to Director of Sales support: be able to assist on strategic sales/inventory and data management projects.
Support Sales Team:
Provide custom sales support presentations by using/creating sales materials inclusive of:
General Sales Deck
Customized Sales Deck/Concepts
Custom research (MRI, Ad Spending, etc?)
Custom graphic design mock-ups
Management of proposal generation process:
Sales reps develop proposals, planners manage all information and custom database adjustments in inventory/pricing
Work as Sales liaison to get necessary sales data from Operations
Manage sales process from signed contract through to providing Sales Reps with all post materials
Manage Sales Materials & Sales Rep training
Sales Planners train Sales Reps on how to use the proposal/inventory management system.
Planners responsible for assuring correct input of data into system through sales process.
Update and manage Sales Planning information site with most up-to-date sales support materials inclusive of:
Network information updates
Experience and Skills:
6+ years in Sales Planning or media planning experience in a role at an advertising / media planning agency and/or an ad-supported media company ? 3+ years running a Sales Planning department.
Expert at MRI and understanding sales/marketing analytics, research and advanced media-math.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, emerging media environment.
Must be able to effectively multi-task and assess project and workflow based on managing multiple deadlines.
Ability to participate in a variety of roles as situation demands including proposal generation, RFP analysis, data mining, research, graphic design/presentation development.
Energetic, team-oriented hard-worker with a desire to learn media sales flow process and strategy in the digital OOH marketplace.
