Job Description:
The Sr. Sales Support Engineer will support all product aspects of the Valen sales cycle. The Sr. Sales Support Engineer will work closely with the Sales Executives and Account Managers to develop and deliver timely and effective sales presentations. With a focus on growing the business, the Sr. Sales Support Engineer must have a strong understanding of predictive analytics as applied to the insurance industry plus a passion to sell the products in compelling ways. He/she will be responsible to contribute technical input into sales materials, collateral, and presentations as well as play a key role in the on-going effective product training of the sales team. In addition to insurance domain knowledge, the Sr. Sales Support Engineer must have a fundamental knowledge of the sales process, selling concepts and strategies, and able to thrive in a team selling environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide product & industry domain expertise to the sales team
Assist in preparing & delivering technical content for sales materials and presentations during the sales cycle
Prepare standard delivery presentation documents, including presentations for material contact, product validation proposal and product validation results meetings
Work with the Sales Executive to customize messaging based on each specific meeting
Work with product team to develop technical sales support materials
Contribute to the development of effective and compelling proposals and RFI/RFP responses
Work with the Sales Executive to establish technical-level rapport with customers during the sales process; research issues and provide creative solutions to the sales team to close business
Assist in the development and delivery of internal sales product training ? includes collaborating with the product team to design a curriculum for each product, preparing, organizing and conducting training programs, and continuous training improvement
Utilize knowledge of product and industry domains to understand customer needs and help to structure proposals for derivative solutions or additional commercial solutions
Provide ?voice of the customer? input to product marketing and product development
Support marketing objectives by contributing technical product content
Support sales & marketing with thorough & timely competitive analysis

Property and Casualty insurance domain knowledge
Predictive analytics knowledge a plus
Translate technical and complex predictive analytics concepts into understandable, customer-friendly language

Required Education & Work Experience:
7+ years insurance experience
Bachelor?s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, IT/Computer Sciences or Business
