The Arise Senior Sales Support Manager is responsible for working hand-in-hand with the Arise Sales Team to develop best in class proposals, targeted pitch decks, and other sales collateral as needed. As such, this individual will be required to enhance and implement structured, repeatable proposal processes; translate bid strategies into proposal narrative; and develop detailed proposal schedules, milestones, plans and manage all proposal activities required to meet them.
More broadly, the Senior Manager, Product & Sales Support will hold responsibility for identifying and understanding the needs of a target audience and then conceptualize, design and develop communications suitable for the internal or external audience during the sales and delivery cycles. Successful performance of the tasks associated with this position requires strong oral and written communications skills as well as robust analytical skills to understand where a need exists and then develop a solution to adequately address the need. The Proposal Manager must be able to comfortably and effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals from all levels of the organization to ensure best-in-class sales cycle and materials.
? Successfully lead full lifecycle Business Development/Sales initiatives as they pertain to capture management and proposal processes.
? Generate complex, high-quality proposals, and related business documents to support business development initiatives.
? Research, write, edit and proofread strategic, product and offering data for use in documents and presentations. Review and revise documents prepared by others and coordinate the preparation of those materials for a completed product.
? Execution of sales strategy ? owning execution and communication of the sales message and accountability for winning in the marketplace. Identify what works and what doesn?t.
? Understanding competition and how to position Arise vs. the competition.
? Understanding our business and how to communicate effectively what we do, how we do it, and how it provides a competitive advantage. Be innovative, using new methods to communicate our story ? videos, technology, etc.
? Collaborate with the Arise Marketing Team to establish and create style guidelines, communication policies and standards for texts, presentations and illustrations to meet business needs.
? Create and own the Arise ?Solution Design? which is all-encompassing and clearly articulates what we?re offering and the advantages of our design principles.
? Project management skills ? meet all deadlines, escalate appropriately, ensuring quality and sales success.
? Determine the scope and timeline of new documentation projects. Plan, lead and coordinate project plans, determine resources, etc. Ensure projects and products meet deadlines, quality standards and objectives.
? Develop practical project timelines and commitments. Anticipate risks and dependencies that may jeopardize the project schedule and plan appropriately.
? Engaging internal resources across all disciplines, to ensure understanding of sales objectives and coordination of messages. Become a trusted internal resource to successfully navigate winning solution bids.
? Extrapolate information from existing material as well as collect technical and methodology information and incorporate that knowledge into products.
? Work closely with Team to provide updates, analysis, and reporting related to Arise customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
? Recognize the limitations of certain tools and researching creative methods of working around these tools to accomplish certain design and documentation goals or requirements.
? Strong business background and familiarity with business concepts and processes.
? Ability to support "Inside Sales" Team to meet and achieve company?s sales goals.
? Familiarity with sales and procurement lifecycle from development of requirements through award of contracts.
? Ability to foster and build strong relationships with internal/external customers at the Director-level and above. Must have superior facilitation skills, with the proven ability to manage a diverse team of technical and management personnel.
? 5+ year?s hands-on experience with writing. Exemplary written English communication skills are a must!
? Must be an accomplished writer and editor with in-depth experience creating proposal related documents (Proposal Directives, Executive Summaries, compliance matrixes, proposal outlines and proposal related questions, storyboards, color review documents, final proposal documents, oral presentations and final lessons learned). Strong proofreading and editing skills a must.
? Experience writing marketing product documentation, collateral, press releases and/or business proposals.
? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines and quick turn-around requirements.
