Senior Security Engineer Liaison Technologies

The Senior Security Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing our security infrastructure, assisting with audit preparations and documentation, and performing administration, engineering and architecture tasks to ensure systems and data are properly secured for our business needs. Usually requires six to nine years of hands-on security experience.
Responsibilities
Responsible for analyzing and/or administering security controls for information systems
Defines and manages safeguards for technology and processes against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction or disclosure
Evaluates, recommends, communicates and implements new security software or devices
Develops, enforces and communicates security policies for data, software application, hardware and telecommunications
Defines and executes formal responses to security incidents, including immediate lock down, damage assessment, internal and customer communications, short and long term follow up strategies, root cause analysis and future prevention strategies
Manages the company's firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems
Ensures consistent execution of vulnerability scans and reporting
Provides information to management regarding the potential negative impact to the business due to theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information
Assists in communicating security procedures to users
Maintains current documentation, including licenses, policies, hardware and software inventory and diagrams
Assists with audit preparation and responses for both internal and external/3rd party audits
Will collaborate with other teams on projects and proposals as assigned and participate in solution recommendations
Serves as liaison with vendors and third-party services providers
Requirements
5+ years experience in a hands-on security role
Experience with PCI and/or SAS 70 audits
Strong decision making and problem solving abilities
Proven track record in leading design, implementation and audits of complex security environments
Hands-on experience deploying/configuring/supporting/maintaining Cisco PIX or ASA firewall, IDS, IPS
Hands-on experience supporting/maintaining VPN, proxies, system hardening, security policies with extensive knowledge of security practices/technologies
Proficiency with Microsoft Visio and other data processing applications
Knowledge of systems interaction in complex network topologies
Experience reviewing systems security and trace logs to ensure compliance with best practices and local / federal regulations are also necessary
Excellent communication at all levels both with external customers and within the organization
Experience conducting internal and external vulnerability and penetration tests
Experience conducting incident response
Experience with computer forensics a plus
Certifications such as CISSP, CSA, CCSP, CISA are a significant plus
