Senior Security Engineer Echopass

Position Description:
Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, the Senior Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and administering all aspects of Information Security at Echopass. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the entire Echopass team ensure a secure computing environment. The Security Engineer will help maintain the critical security devices, author security policy, document processes, and product implementations. Additionally, this position will provide testing/implementation documentation, develop and implement vulnerability scan remediation plans, and continually enhance the overall posture of Echopass? computing security through a variety of audits and evaluations. The successful candidate will have seasoned practical knowledge of enterprise security and be motivated to design the security blueprint under minimal supervision.
Requirements:
Must have 3-5 years of security engineering, network administration, and/or systems administration experience
Experience with configuration and automation of system logging (syslog) and configuration management tools
Experience in successfully installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, configuring, administering, and enhancing security related hardware/software
Knowledge of best practices in information security as they apply to ISO27001, PCI-DSS, SSAE 16
Familiarity with industry resources to include but not limited to NIST, FISMA, SANS, RFC2196, CERT
Strong communications skills with the ability to provide oral and written presentations related to Information Security to all levels of Echopass employees
Have at least two years? experience in the following technical disciplines:
- Networking products and understanding of network protocols
- Best practices in the configuration of Firewalls and Routers (Cisco)
- Firewall implementation and management
- SIEM, computer cryptography, endpoint encryption, A/V, IDS/IPS, or other enterprise security related software
- Server and PC hardening techniques
Responsibilities:
Define, design, build, test, implement, document, and maintain Echopass' infrastructure and security applications
Monitor and troubleshoot information security systems and applications
Develop needs assessment information, evaluate new technologies, and perform special projects as assigned
Perform after-hours on-call duties for security incidents and operational issues
Interface with external vendors, resolving technical issues, and relationship management
Collaborate on projects and security operations within Service Delivery Team
Train NOC staff on management of alerts from installed security systems
Provide security awareness training
