Description:We are looking for a senior service & support engineer that is prepared to work in a fast paced, highly technical environment.
Duties:The role of the Senior Service & Support Engineer involves helping customers on day-to-day service support issues, such as interoperability testing, configuration and unit install / turn-up, topology design, and troubleshooting. Applicants for this role should be experienced in network lab environments, documenting test results and test cases, as well as typical network and telecommunications testing equipment such as T1 Test-Sets, Digital X-Connects, SONET MUXes and ADMs, and various packet generators and network analyzers.
Qualifications:
Experience with the following: IP, Ethernet, MPLS, TDM, SDH/SONET, MLPPP, GFP, VCAT, VLANs (802.1q), 802.3ad Aggregation, SOAM / CFM
Provide both pre- and post-sales support on all technical issues including training, design, troubleshooting, and implementation
Organizational, presentation, and leadership skills are mandatory
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to think outside the box
Potential 10% - 15% travel
Work closely with account teams to develop early relationships and to provide excellent post-sales support for accounts
Work closely with corporate sponsored partnerships to continuously provide first rate support and technical knowledge transfer
Work closely with engineering to resolve complex customer technical issues
Participate in the conception and creation of new tools to help our teams and customers work more efficiently
Provide feedback to product management of emerging customer requirements
Prior start-up experience is highly preferred
BS degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 6+ years in a similar role
