The Senior SharePoint Engineer serves as the primary administrator of Accolade?s internal and external SharePoint farms and web front ends. You will work as a liaison among stakeholders ? end users, development team(s) and infrastructure ? in order to provide responsive environments, structures, policies, processes, and operations that enable the organization to achieve its goals. In this critical role, you will recommend solutions and provide support to ensure that requirements are met in a timely fashion. You are responsible for developing and maintaining documentation, solution recommendations, projected costs, and user training or help content. You will keep environments up to date and support the release management processes. You will also assist in transitioning environments and features to support mobile use cases. And, you will lead third parties in a coordinated way to achieve the same goals. You are committed to learning through feedback and continuous improvement in the service of your customers.
Liaise between development team(s) and infrastructure team(s); comfortable interfacing directly with end users and management
Designing and planning SharePoint topology and solution architecutre.
SharePoint farm and system administration, including set-up and configuration of SharePoint Services on Servers, maintenance of Web Front End Servers, and Indexing Servers
Planning and implementing server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches
Creation and maintenance of Sites and Site Collections, as well as all associated databases and services
Set-up and maintenance of integrated services such as outgoing and incoming e-mail services, Active Directory and presence
Qualification, installation and maintenance of any plug-in, feature, web part, template or solution, including 3rd party software or applications such as K2 Workflow
Managing back-up and recovery practices, and maintaining integrity and reliability of access to information
Establishing and/or maintaining end user access policy and permissions
Reviewing, implementing and maintaining search services, including defining and expanding search scopes. Implementing and maintaining user profile properties, including "MySites" functionality
Coordinating and implementing governance policies and best use practices, and communicating with company management best use scenarios
Create simple workflow processes and simple site customization
Monitoring system performance utilizing monitoring tools and providing performance statistics and reports such as site usage and growth, disk space, server load, etc. ? provide reporting against application SLA
Applying SharePoint patches and cumulative updates on a regular basis.
Responsible for the day-to-day administration and support for the end users of SharePoint.
Author and execute Power Shell scripts that automate routine administrative tasks
Deploy solution packages from development team to QA to production environments
Perform work according to internal standards and identify opportunities to incorporate or apply industry standards and best practices where appropriate
Minimum five years working with SharePoint Platform in an engineering and administrative capacity; demonstrated experience with SharePoint 2013
Proficiency in SharePoint Architecture
Minimum of two years Power Shell scripting
Experience with K2 Workflow, Lync and Microsoft Exchange Services is a plus
Experience with system monitoring tools such as SolarWinds is a plus
Experience as a manager/leader of a team is a plus
A Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
