Senior Software Developer - Mobile Apps WideOrbit

Job Description:

Great opportunity for a developer to work in the brand new WO - Mobile program for WideOrbit! This role is a critical part of the design and implementation of mobile applications. You'll be responsible for building everything from proof-of-concepts and usability prototypes to deployment-quality code. You should be comfortable with daily code submissions, delivering projects in short time frames, multi-tasking, handling interrupts, and interacting with a distributed team.
Skills/Qualifications
? The successful candidate will be a star developer, hungry, obsessed with social media (both as a user and as a developer), intellectually curious, and uncommonly talented
? Deep working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
? Solid experience developing mobile applications for both iPhone and Android devices or Mobile Web (HTML 5).
? Ability to design & implement application framework to enable building multiple applications, both UI and Backend
? 3+ years of advanced practical experience with Mobile Apps ? Android, Apple preferred
? Experience with Object C, Cocoa Touch, MonoTouch or any other environments programming reusable libraries and apps that use XML to interface with our database via our public API.
? Expert level skills with jQuery, Javascript. HTML/XHTML, CSS
? AJAX and JSON experience.
? Work with product management to help define functional specification for mobile application and with QA for testing.
? Strong overall Object Oriented Programming skills and design patterns
? Knowledge of MS SQL Server programming is desired
? Previously developed mobile applications, available on the App Store and/or demonstrated during the interview process would be a plus
? Experience writing code for multi-threaded environments; both client UI and server framework.
? Experience with Mobile notification protocols is highly preferred
? Excellent communication skills.
? Willingness to thoroughly unit test and debug complex code that you, or others, may write.
? Mentor other developers in Objective-C, Cocoa Touch, MonoTouch and other technologies.
? Experience with other programming tools, languages and protocols a plus.
