In this role you will manage an energetic and fast moving development team. This position will be responsible for ensuring delivery of quality software and will have the resources and authority to make things happen.

We are looking for a "get it done with quality" project manager. This is a great position If you like working in an informal environment where you have the opportunity to deliver without a lot of bureaucracy and excessive oversight.

This role is all about delivering quality software on time. This includes managing project scope, goals and deliverables. A great aspect of this role is that as Project Manager you will have more control over the project as the developers will report to you directly. At the end of each development project the final stage will be to successfully transition software to support and service teams.

Job responsibilities include:

Manage and deliver projects with respect to planning, design and implementation processes at a business unit within accepted firm methodology. Develop staff and assign to project activity.
Possess a broad knowledge of multiple business applications operating on multiple platforms.

Establish active/project timelines, deliver projects on budget and on time.
Develop tactical and strategic plans for application changes, resource loading, application development and maintenance and approaches for continuous improvement. This includes the execution, adherence and continuous improvement to a sound application development methodology.
Pro-actively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Manage software quality assurance, review test plans, and monitor testing progress.
Prepare and communicate status, issues and opportunities to the business.
Keep current on emerging trends and best practices as it is related to business objectives.
Coaches/mentors/develops associates in career development and performance.
Establish and monitor performance objectives for staff and conduct performance evaluations, monitor succession plans, career development and merit process as defined by HR.

Qualifications:

5+ years of proven experience successfully delivering software projects.
Agile development methodology background experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple system development projects in a multi-platform environment, utilizing both in-house resources and consultants.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or the like.

Desired Experience:

Telecom experience is a plus.
