Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming languages is required. Experience with embedded software development, data structures, algorithms, object oriented design, device drivers, GDB debugging and network protocols is needed. Experience writing software for testing and debugging components in a complex system required. The preferred educational credentials are a BS and/or MS in computer science or electrical engineering. The preferred industry experience is 5+ years in software development. A solid understanding of the software development and testing process and a working knowledge of software revision control practices and tools, such as Subversion, Perforce, and Clearcase is needed.
