SenSage is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer who will be responsible for the prototyping, implementing and testing of Analytics Reports. This individual will be responsible for the next generation of our Analytics offerings, covering such areas as compliance, security and system administration. This position requires someone skilled in translating business requirements to SQL, but also wrapping SQL up in easy-to-understand reporting packages and helping our customers to use them in the field.
Job Description
The Senior Software Engineers responsibilities will include:
Understand and translate requirements documents into working SQL code and reliable, robust SenSage Reports.
Find, generate and manage sample data for numerous enterprise event sources.
Plan and execute automated testing of reports.
Develop libraries and lookup tables for various sources and problem domains.
Assist Professional Services, Support and Sales with the installation, configuration and use of the Analytics Reports.
Qualifications
Required Technology Skills:
5+ years practical experience supporting enterprise reporting & analysis function
5+ years SQL, data management, reporting, data analysis experience
Strong ability to understand business requirements for reporting and analyzes, and translate to technical solutions.
Superb, expert-level SQL programming skills related to reporting and data analysis (Sybase, MS SQL Server, Access, Oracle).
Strong experience with report delivery (building, testing, scheduling, monitoring, one-off vs. recurring, etc.)
Experience with Crystal Reports or other reporting package is necessary
BA/BS or equivalent experience

Highly Desired Additional Skills:
Experience with Perl
Experience with large data sets and large data problems
Experience with Crystal Reports or another reporting package
Understanding of network security management and/or log data management.
