Senior Software Engineer - Applications
We're looking for a seasoned, passionate, lead OR senior engineer to help us build web applications for a modern media company. Play a key role in a fast paced engineering team using agile process and the latest tools to design, build, and test products reaching hundreds of millions every month. Responsibilities:

• Mentor and grow fellow team members, building on their existing skill sets
• Work with product managers to take high-level requirements to useful, buildable iterations
• Establish and embed best practices within the team and across the organization
• Trusted to take complex open-ended problems and drive towards detailed and complete solutions

Requirements:

• BS/CS or equivalent experience
• 5+ years developing interactive high-volume web applications
• 2+ years working in a lead capacity a plus
• Adaptable senior contributor drawing on extensive experience
• Strong leadership skills and desire to mentor junior engineers a plus
• Skilled engineer with an emphasis on full-stack web development
• Thrives in a fast-paced, agile, small team environment where accountability and collaboration are expected
• Expertise in Python/Django
• Familiarity with common Python tools a plus (simplejson, httplib2, nose, mockito)
• Experience with HTTP-based REST/JSON APIs, MVC architecture, test-driven development
• Federated social web technologies: OpenID, OAuth, Twitter, Facebook API, RSS, Atom
• MySQL, Memcached, Git, Perlbal, Gearman and other open-source technologies a huge plus!
