To meet the rapidly growing needs of the network capacity management space, Bytemobile is looking for a highly talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join the talented team of engineers who build our industry-leading, highly scalable, carrier-grade platforms.How You Will Add Value:
Develop our various optimization techniques and algorithms as well as contribute to a scalable server platform
Be responsible for tasks ranging from targeted research and rapid prototyping of concepts to dedicated design and development of world-class server software
What You Will Own:
Design and implement our advanced networking features
Communicate effectively with peers to highlight and clarify software design requirements
Compose design and feature documents
Manage to and deliver against a schedule determined jointly with the reporting manager
Learn and help maintain existing software components
Develop unit and component tests for any developed software

What You Will Bring:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science a plus
Years of Experience Required
At least five years of solid backend server development experience and multithreaded programming
Experience and Skills
Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge
Knowledge of professional software practices
Strong team player and independent contributor
Technical Skills Required
Working experience with common IP-based application protocols; e.g., HTTP, FTP, SMTP, POP3
Hands-on experience with network programming; e.g., sockets, interprocess communication (IPC) concepts
Very strong C/C++ programming skills
Good understanding of scripting languages such as Perl and shell programming
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to write design documentation
Development experience with Linux and/or Solaris
Technical Skills Desired
Prior development experience with HTTP proxies and servers such as Squid or Apache
Knowledge of mobile network infrastructure; e.g., 3G-4G, LTE
Experience with TCP over wireless networks
