Senior Software Engineer NextIO
Right now we're looking for Software Engineers with real hands on experience in embedded Linux software development with emphasis on data center class, systems management development. The right individual will have comprehensive Linux development skills, up and down the software stack, with an in-depth knowledge and experience creating embedded management applications for data center class equipment.This position will participate in designing and implementing low-level device management objects through a defined API in Linux for server systems and their associated I/O devices, while also integrating infrastructural items into larger data center management applications. This SW Engineer will work within the SW Development team to ensure all critical components of the system are tightly managed and adhere to industry standards for server peripheral management.
You should possess a strong background in numerous areas of Linux inclusive of kernel, application and driver development along with a technical understanding of the OS's architecture and expected management components for I/O and server systems. Start-up experience is desired with Lua and/or PCIe experience/knowledge a plus.
This is obviously not for the squeemish or faint of heart. Its heady stuff that not everyone knows how to do. But, you gotta do it well. It doesn't matter if you have five years of experience or fifty - it?s not the years of experience that matter; it?s the experience in those years that count.
