About the Job
Due to a major expansion agenda, we have a need for a hands-on and talented Back-End Application Developer to join our team to build quality, dynamic, scalable, distributed, and flexible systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will participate in the full lifecycle development of enterprise software systems, including design, implementation, testing, and support. Areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to, user interface design and development, client-side programming, server-side services and control, web UI security, and performance analysis and tuning.
Qualifications
We are seeking a motivated developer with hands-on experience in enterprise application software development and 5 years of work experience in server side development with a focus on the following areas:
Strong core Java and Application Server expertise.
Hands-on experience in designing and developing backend systems Spring, Web Services, multi-threaded programming.
Familiarity with Spring, Hibernate, Struts, and other frameworks.
Extensive enterprise Java programming experience at all layers (persistence, business logic, interfaces, SOA).
Good understanding of REST & web services.
Experience tuning enterprise applications for increasing performance and scalability.
Should be analytical and be able to troubleshoot applications.
Exposure to formal development methodology tools and both full lifecycle and agile development methodologies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
B.S. in Computer Science or related; MS is preferred.
Implementation experience in JAAS APIs and LDAP preferred.
Knowledge of enterprise systems and software in the energy industry (AMI, MDM, OMS, work management etc.) is desired, but not required.
