Senior Software Engineer - Empirix Services Platform

The Empirix Services Platform is a scalable cloud-based platform, positioned to meet growing market demand for hosted performance testing solutions. This secure, cloud-based portal is used by end customers to develop and configure test scenarios, monitor test activities and results, and provide graphical reporting for test analysis and fault diagnosis. The ESP provides centralized control of the overall test setup and execution environment for hosted, managed or self-service test service engagements.

We seek Software Engineers to join the Platform Services team!

Responsibilities:

Develop and deploy service offerings according to product roadmaps.
Participate in the creation of end to end architecture, technical designs, code components and coding standard.
Ensure reusable code design, leverage application architecture/framework capabilities and functionality.
Participate in periodic code reviews as needed to insure high quality efficient, maintainable deliverables.
Facilitate end-to-end testing.
Work in a small team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities.
Design and develop User Interface/usability improvements as well as DB and scalability improvements.
Work closely with professional services teams to identify and understand customer unmet needs.


Requirements:

Strong OO design skills / experience developing distributed Web applications in a multi-threaded Win32 environment;
7+ years of web-based product development experience
3+ years Ruby (preferably JRuby) and Ruby Frameworks such as Sinatra (preferred) and Rails. Java experience a plus;
Proficient with web technologies and frameworks - HTML/XML/JSON, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript and JQuery;
Experience with designing and implementing UX/UI.
Full understanding of relational database design, programming and optimization experience with Microsoft SQL Server;
Experience developing distributed mission critical enterprise applications a plus;
Experience with Active Record ORM.
Familiarity with NoSQL DBs such as MongoDB;
Knowledge of source code control (using Perforce)
BS/MS - Computer Science or equivalent
