Senior Software Engineer - Big Data Analytics Platform Adchemy

We are looking for an experienced software engineer with experience in Hadoop, distributed data, data analysis and Web Services to build out Adchemy's analytics platform. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience and passion in building scalable software platforms. This individual must be have the ability to work under minimal supervision in a dynamic startup culture.Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, implementation and quality of analytic applications for a high availability and scalable enterprise grade platform.
Deliver quality work for the Enterprise SW Engineering team within an Agile/Scrum and / or iterative development environment.
Work closely with team members to architect/develop the best technical design and approach.
Follow group development and industry best practices.
Interface with cross-functional teams during the development process
Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience with a Computer Science degree.
Hands-on ability with coding, code review, design review
Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills related to Big Data including data correlation, statistics and text analytics that provide high business value
Understanding of Hadoop, Map/Reduce, HDFS a big plus
Proven experience in RDBMS, No-SQL databases, structured and unstructured data,
Must have expert level knowledge in OOD, Java and server side programming
5+ years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding, and unit testing of scalable, distributed and fault-tolerant high volume data applications
2+ years experience in web services/SOA development with Java, SOAP/REST, SQL,
Ability and commitment to good software testing and unit testing practices.
Competence with source code control, continuous integration and other development tools.
Experience working at a startup and an understanding of the scalability needs of server architecture and implementation
