Senior Software Engineer Silverlink Communications
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is highly motivated, dedicated and innovative to join our engineering team. The candidate will demonstrate a proven, verifiable track record in designing, building and supporting the
delivery of critical high-volume transactional systems. This multi-channel high performance communication platform
includes rich automated Voice applications, desktop/mobile web applications, Mail, Email, SMS, Web, and other
communication protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
! Design and implement mission critical Java applications for data importing, results exporting, campaign workflow,
and communication scheduling and execution
! Design, develop, and deliver complex data-driven end-user web applications for communication program
definition, execution, and maintenance using server-side scripting engines (ASP, .NET, JSP, ColdFusion)
! Rapidly prototype new applications and architectures
! Develop and tune TSQL queries including complex stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views
! Design, develop, and support CCXML/VXML code for automated voice dialog execution
! Contribute to coding standards and best practices
! Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including developing and maintaining install kits to
release code to different targeted environments and working with business analysts and users on creating clear
and comprehensive functional and technical design specifications
! Participate in support functions including day-to-day support and mentoring of other engineers and end users
! Provide technical support for 24x7 SaaS environment
Required Skills/Background/Experience:
The candidate should have advanced Java application development skills. The candidate should have familiarity with
various other programming languages and be willing to work in all areas of the platform. It is critical that the candidate
have strong problem-solving and communication skills and the willingness and flexibility to work well as part of a
quality-oriented team through use of an Agile SDLC and a disciplined engineering methodology.
? 4-7 years of hands-on programming experience in 4gl languages (e.g. Java. C, C++, VisualBasic, VB.Net, Perl)
? Experience in designing and testing multi-threaded applications that interact with highly transactional RDBMS
? Experience with database schema modeling tools (e.g. Visio, ERWin)
? Programming experience in transactional SQL languages
? Have an in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to communicate project
status, issues, and resolutions
? Be able to identify technical constraints that would impede development and make recommendations for
pragmatic alternatives
? BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Additional Experience Considered a Plus:
! Experience in HealthCare technology and data
! Working knowledge or experience with web services
! ColdFusion 9, HTML5, CSS, XML, and VXML experience
! Experience with mobile application development
! Advance knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008
! Experience working with VLDBs (1TB+)
! Knowledge of database administration as it relates to optimization of system performance
! Small fast-growth company experience
