A fantastic opportunity to make a REAL difference, you can put your fingerprints on SilkRoad's applications in a major way!. This position will be at the forefront of making dramatic changes as we continue to move forward in the integration of our Life Suite of products. As part of our small, innovative development team, the successful Senior Software Engineer will perform web application and data integration development in support of SilkRoad products. The Engineer will also design and develop Human Resource Information System applications with a focus on web technologies, databases and user interface principals and techniques.
Responsibilities include:
Leads and manages full life cycle system development activities (requirements definition, design, development, testing: verification/validation), implementation, and quality assurance.
Develops web pages using ASP.net, C#, MS MVC, HTML, XSL/XSLT.
Designs and implements relational databases.
Creates and executes stored procedures and queries against relational databases, primarily SQL Server 2005/2008R2.
Translates functional requirements into applications; develops and implements test validations of the applications.
Analyzes test results and recommends modifications to the applications to meet functional specifications; resolves implementation and post-production issues.
Documents modifications and enhancements made to the applications as required by the project.

Required Experience
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience designing and implementing commercial software.
Experience with C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript, JQuery, and XML/XSL required.
WCF experience highly desirable, PowerShell preferred.
Strong UI design and/or high performing and scalable databases.
Strong experience with systems integration.
Experience working with iterative development methodologies (Scrum, Agile) required.
Experience with globalization, localization, and internationalization of web applications desirable.
