The successful Senior Software Engineer will enhance and maintain our core content management product in support of SilkRoad products integrated with our content management engine. They will also design and develop Human Resource Information System applications with a focus on web technologies, databases and user interface principals and techniques.
Responsibilities:
Application design and development with a focus on web technologies, databases, and user interface principles and techniques.
Leads and manages full life cycle development activities (requirements definition, design, development, testing: verification/validation, implementation, and quality assurance).
Creates and translates functional requirements into software with minimal guidance; develops and implements test validations of the software.
Creates and executes stored procedures/queries against relational databases, primarily SQL Server 2005/2008.
Analyzes test results and recommends modifications to the software to meet functional specifications; resolves implementation and post-production issues.
Documents modifications and enhancements made to the software as required by the project.
Provides code reviews and guidance as necessary to team members, to ensure timely delivery of specific assignments and projects.
Provides assistance to 2nd tier support team on production issues
Analyzes and resolves code issues

Required Skills
Extensive knowledge of C++ and working with multi-threaded applications.
Extremely competent at the majority of the following technologies: SQL, SQL Server 2005 / 2008, Windows.
Passionate team member; strong contributor to technical discussions, cultivates an energizing environment, and is committed to team success.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, self-directed environment, preferably on a small team.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem resolution abilities.
Contributes to a climate of innovation and continuous improvement to achieve excellence and support business success
Required Experience
Bachelor?s or Master?s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related, or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of experience as an application developer in a professional work environment.
A well-rounded knowledge of relational database design. Experience in creating and executing stored procedures/queries against relational databases, primarily SQL Server 2005/2008
Experience with globalization, localization, and internationalization of web applications.
Experience with code maintenance.
Preferred:
Perforce, HTML, JavaScript, C#, Java, and COM
Experience developing multi-lingual applications.
Experience in creating and deploying SaaS applications strongly preferred.
