The Software Engineer will join a global team driving research and development of 24/7?s PX platform. Our PX platform - the world?s largest self-service platform - leverages big data, mobile, web and speech technologies to analyze, predict and drive over 2.5B annual customer interactions. The Software Engineer will extend 24/7?s technology leadership through aggressive innovation that improves the customer experience, broadens the range of automatable journeys, and transforms development of enterprise applications.
The position is based in Campbell or Alameda, CA.
Design and development of platform components for multi-modal application design, mobile application development, speech automation, big data analytics, and cloud management services. Successful candidates will have a computer science or related degree, expert level knowledge in Java/OO technologies, technical creativity and problem solving ability. Experience with mobile applications or big data a plus.
Desired Skills & Experience
7+ years of commercial software development experience
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Java/C++ design and development knowledge including:
Java libraries and tools
Web technologies, including web services
Good knowledge of SQL/RDBMS
Experience in a SaaS or packaged software company
Experience with large-scale, high availability production web application infrastructure
Understanding of agile software development methods
Knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies (e.g., HTML5, Ajax, GWT)
Knowledge of leading mobile platforms (iOS, Android)
Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., MapReduce, distributed data stores, data warehousing, data mining)
Familiarity with speech technologies (VoiceXML, grammars, ASR, audio processing)
Familiarity with Eclipse IDE plug-in development
Familiarity with IP telephony technologies
