Key Duties

· Implementing new features as directed by the Product Development team in accordance with the R&D team's agreed standards & practices. The vast majority of features will be developed in C#, VS2010, .NET4, WCF, Silverlight

· Collaborating on the R&D team's agreed set of standards and practices

· Performing peer design, code and test case reviews

· Contributing to feature design as part of a collaborative process with the Product Development team

· Doing some maintenance of existing code where necessary. Really, everyone in the team should be willing and able to do this. However, as a team we want to minimise this kind of work over time through refactoring, rewriting and improved practices

· Provide leadership, technical expertise and mentoring to mid-level and junior developers in team

Essential:

· Solid, up-to-date knowledge & experience of C# & ASP.NET (min .NET 2, .NET 3.5+ preferred)

· Strong OO design skills, and good understanding of various design patters

· Working knowledge of SQL Server 200x

Desirable:

· Working knowledge of WCF or WebServices

· Experience in Silverlight

· Experience in ASP.NET MVC 4

· Experience in JavaScript, JQuery, JQuery UI and CSS

· Experience in MVC and MVVM patters

· Experience working in an Agile environment, especially Scrum and Kanban
