Position Overview/Responsibilities:Analyze, design, develop, implement, integrate, test and evaluate the information systems that process structured / unstructured data and allow users to search / find information.
Work on the efficient methods for standardizing / storing / indexing / retrieving large-scale text data.
Work on automating the process of storing / indexing large amount of data.
Generate test bed set for the accuracy of offline / online application's behavior.
Required Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
A strong background in information retrieval or text processing,
experience with semantic analysis and linguistic algorithms,
experience with statistical methods for information mining,
strong problem solving skills,
good understanding of software design,
architecture and development principals,
strong background in algorithm design and data structure,
solid experience in relational databases,
experience with search engines.
Education:
Position requires Master?s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus two (2) years experience in job offered.
Professional and/or advanced academic coursework must include:
index/search technologies, text processing, information retrieval with good problem solving skill based on strong understanding of data structure and algorithm design;
relational databases, data standardization, data correlation and ability to handle very big data sets;
distributed software applications including scalability, performance, and reliability aspects;
and engineering processes including both design and testing methodologies.
