About the Job:
We're seeking a Senior Engineer to join Twilio's Developer Experience (DevX) team and build new ways for developers to interact with Twilio's API.
This is a senior role focused on creating the best user experience for Twilio developers of any level.
Successful candidates will be strong generalists with experience in HTTP, JavaScript and at least one of PHP, Python, and Ruby.
Responsibilities:
Define and build the next generation of Twilio development tools and experiences.
Work across engineering and product teams to make Twilio's existing products and services more consistent and understandable.
Create new ways for developers to engage with Twilio's documentation.
Develop and maintain Twilio's open-source API libraries.
Requirements:
A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
4+ years in industry as a developer working with HTTP in PHP, Python or Ruby.
Strong background in web development, networking, and security.
Experience with traditional RDBMS databases such as MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, etc.
Hands on. Passionate. Persistent. Creative.
Bonus Points:
You know what the Access-Control-Allow-Origin HTTP header is for.
You have a weekend hack that you're turning into a product.
You have favorite and least favorite HTTP API documentation and can explain why.
You can explain to your mom how Twilio works.
