Senior Software Engineer - Finance Tools

This is a position in the core Finance Team â€" a team that builds tools for better management of finance life cycle, integration with 3rd party vendors/payment gateways, managing Wize Commerce Billing life cycle.
Also, you would be part of team that would be redesign current Billing system using latest bleeding edge technology primarily open source. You are expected to have a high level idea of a wide spectrum of big-data technologies with deep operational knowhow of large scale systems.
Responsibilities:
- Work with multi-functional team to both build new products and enhance existing systems.
- Work with finance team to understand requirement and develop same.
- Conduct research on technologies/tools belonging to Finance tools
- Train and mentor other team members.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in back-end software design and development
- Experience with Linux-based, large-scale, distributed, web applications from front to back
- Production experience with Java with a strong emphasis on coding principles, performance, design patterns, algorithms and data structures
- BS in Computer Science or similar field (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
- Experience in agile software development a plus
- Cucumber experience preferred
- Good communication skills
