Gilt City, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Front End for its New York, New York location.Duties: Design and develop software applications and user interfaces for the company?s dynamic interactive website. Gather business requirements and conceptualize, design and implement user interface features. Architect and build technical solutions for delivering programs to end-users. Provide application maintenance and support. Work with cross-functional teams to extend and improve the usability of the product.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or closely related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a web developer, user interface software engineer or closely related occupation in high-volume or critical production environments. Will accept a Master?s degree in specified fields and 3 years of specified work experience.
Prior work experience must include: hand-coding pages using HTML/CSS, Object-Oriented coding in JavaScript; designing and developing software applications and user interfaces utilizing Java, Ruby on Rails, XHTML, PostgreSQL, Adobe Creative Suite, Model View Controller, HTTP protocols; & user experience & interaction design, and Unix and Unix command line.
