Summary
Are you a web developer with significant cutting-edge HTML5 experience? We at EcoFactor are seeking an exceptionally talented web developer who is ready to take ownership of parts of our web and mobile applications. This is a great role for a software developer to have a direct impact on the adoption of energy efficiency. You can truly make a difference here! Title depends on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Must be passionate about working a high growth environment!
? Jointly design and implement highly visible java-based HTML5 web applications
? Design and implementation of APIs for systems integrations with 3rd-party web applications
? Adopt best-practice technologies in UI for performance and usability
? Work directly with Product Management teams to refine requirements, with server engineers to refine APIs design and with QA on application validation.
Experience (Required)
? 5+ years of experience building complex web applications in Java environment or equivalent
? Must have been a core member of a highly successful product development team with major architectural and programming contributions
? Superb Java, JavaScript, AJAX and HTML skills
? Experience building websites with one or more Java Web UI frameworks such as JSF, Struts, jQuery, Tapestry, Ext JS, Wicket, Dojo, YUI, GWT
? Knowledge of implementing cross-browser CSS
? Good understanding of performance and scalability issues of client-side web Applications
? Deep understanding of designing modular and object-oriented applications with server-side web frameworks like Spring
? Creativity and a desire to create great consumer online services!
? Comfortable troubleshooting issues on LINUX
Experience (Desired)
? UI applications on mobile devices (e.g. iPhone)
? BI reporting software such as BIRT, JasperSoft
? Past startup experience working on a high profile web application
Skills
? Ability to work in a deadline oriented, and fast paced environment
? Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team of developers
? Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
? Excellent sense of development/QA/release process
? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
? Willingness to learn and to teach
Other
? BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
