DescriptionPosition Summary:As part of the Data Warehouse team you?ll be responsible for creating and maintaining Hadoop queries using apache pig, groovy + java.
RequirementsResponsibilities:
?Develop and maintain data extraction and reporting processes
?Write UDFs and java utility programs where applicable to interact with 3rd party APIs
?Work with business and technical teams to ensure that data queries and processes are in accordance with the business requirements
?Contribute enhancements and fixes to the Hadoop open source community
?Research and learn the latest applicable technologies advancements in the open source community
Experience / Qualifications:
?Significant experience with the overall Hadoop eco-system (HDFS, Map Reduce, Pig/Hive, etc.)
?Extensive experience in building ?big data? processing applications using one or more of the following languages: Java, Groovy, Python
?Strong knowledge of SQL
?Strong knowledge of Linux architecture and tools
?Knowledge/Experience in MPP systems - Netezza (desired)
?Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills
