THE GIGEdgeCast is seeking an eager Senior Software Engineer in Quality, who has a penchant for breaking things. With this exciting opportunity you will be joining a newly formed group of software developers focusing on advancing the Quality efforts around EdgeCast systems and services. Your responsibilities will include planning and programming application software, scripts and mock ups used for reducing risk within multiple EdgeCast systems including front end, middle, and backend tiers. Your knowledge in how the Internet works, and your background in programming WWW solutions will fit perfectly in our Web content and data management model. If you like working with new tools and technology, and inventing some of your own, this might be your gig!
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and improve on existing Test Plans
Program and execute Suites of automated Test Cases
Analyze and improve your coded tactics and approach
Working with a team, track and triage incidents in a ticketing system
Ultimately provision tests against browser runtime web apps, server side apps and databases for a globally growing system
THE SKILLS
Experience working with small to medium sized Agile teams using SCRUM or LEAN methods
Experience working under a Continuous Integration model; Unit Tests, Smoke/Sanity Tests, Integration Tests
Expanded Automation Code and Scripting experience using any of the following; NUnit, Selenium, WatiN, EasyMock, CSUnit, NMock; got another ? let?s talk!
Experience coding and assembling test integration code using mocked objects or other solutions for dependencies
Understanding of the importance of Development and Testing Cycles
Good grasp of understanding the definitions/differences of both Dynamic and OO programming languages
Experience looking at risks across multiple browsers? IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari
Ability to comprehend technical concepts and use them as a resource in your projects
YOUR SUPER SKILLS: (THESE ARE A PLUS)
Experience designing and developing white box unit tests written directly in the source code
Designing and coding your own libraries
Experience configuring Hudson CI jobs against your scripts
