Adknowledge Engage Channel includes solutions targeted toward online publishers and advertisers as well as consumer properties.
Our publisher solutions provide various monetization solutions targeted at implementations for search traffic, content sites, and other web-based applications.
Our advertiser solutions provide additional reach for online properties and advertisers, allowing them to cost effectively obtain additional visitors and page views from our vast network.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Software Engineer, as the senior member of a development team, will serve as the primary technical resource tasked to implement and deliver software solutions with a focus on scalability and maintainability. Responsibilities include:
Design, implement, and maintain software.
Make well-informed decisions about the implementation of new technologies and techniques.
Collaborating with other engineers on architectural design and implementation.
Mentoring other developers on best practices in programming and database structure, implementation, and performance.
Maintenance and administration of team engineering assets, to include Linux development and production servers
Participating in and conduct code reviews
Participating in on-call rotation as needed.

Delivering scalable fault-tolerant solutions.
Constant exposure to new methodologies, frameworks, and programming languages with a need to ramp up on unfamiliar technologies quickly.
Participating in a fast-paced, high-traffic, big data environment.
CANDIDATE OVERVIEW
The successful candidate will be, first and foremost, a team player devoted to the continued success of Adknowledge and the Engage channel. The ideal candidate will also have at least:
Bachelor?s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years experience building PHP applications. Exposure to additional programming languages a very strong plus.
Familiarity with Linux fundamentals.
Exposure to web server setup and maintenance. (we use nginx with php-fpm and Apache2 with mod-php5)
Strong background in object-oriented programming, common design patterns, and MVC frameworks (we use Symfony 2.0, Drupal and Perl Catalyst)
In-depth experience consuming 3rd party APIs utilizing REST and JSON
Experience working with MySQL, writing efficient queries and optimization of structure
A passion for software development and learning new technologies.
