The engineering department at SEPATON is seeking an exceptional software engineer with a passion for solving complex problems to join our team and work on state-of-the-art data protection and replication products. The position requires excellent technical problem solving skills and a desire to tackle challenging issues.Key Requirements
BS CS/CE or equivalent
5+ years software development experience
Strong programing skills in C and C++
Linux 2.6/3.x system knowledge and experience
Self-starter, with the ability to manage and report on simultaneous tasks critical to project success
Experience writing user-space applications and system daemons
Scripting language proficiency, bash, perl etc.,
Debugging user-space applications with gdb
Preferred Skills
Storage experience and/or experience with backup/restore applications such as Symantec NBU, IBM TSM or EMC Networker
Knowledge of VMware environments
Makefile and build environment knowledge
