Job Description: Senior Software Engineer
SS8 is looking for a Senior SW Engineer to deliver significant capabilities as a member of the development group.
As a software developer, you will be responsible for design, development, unit test and integration of modules and features for the SS8 Communications Forensics platform. This is a hands-on position requiring exposure to the full software development life cycle, strong technical and programming background.
In this job, you will deliver massive capabilities that will make a difference. Your software will be deployed across the globe.
Required Skill Set:
Must have 7+ years of SW development experience.
An expert in Web UI development using GWT, SmartGWT, AJAX, Javascript, UI design, Media players, HTML, CSS, Browser plug-in programming
An expert in Object Oriented programming with a solid experience Java JEE, Eclipse, JBOSS/Tomcat, EJB, Hibernate, MySQL/Oracle, scalable server application development
Experience in development of multithreaded and multiprocessor products (system calls, inter-process communication, and synchronization mechanisms) on Linux RHEL 6.3 platform.
Experience in full development product life cycle with a proven record of delivering product and features on time with high quality.
Passionate, intelligent and good problem solving required. Creativity a must.
A self motivated team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with little supervision in a team environment.
Desired Skills
Good understanding of unstructured and relational databases specifically MySQL, Solr, and Lucene.
Familiar with Data Analytical and visualization tools
Telephony and Voice Apps, NoSQL
Experience with design of large databases to manage, store and retrieve large volumes of data.
Knowledge of internet applications and protocols such as multi-media streaming and flash, web mails, and chat/IM protocols
Familiarity with ClearCase/ClearQuest and other modern development tools is desirable.
