JOB POSITION: Senior Software Engineer, Systems
JOB LOCATION: Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Systems Software Engineer has the ability to perform engineering tasks in software development and the responsibilities include analysis, design, programming, unit and integration testing of new or existing products/systems. The Systems Software Engineer must have the ability to execute systems development projects with minimal technical direction. The Systems Software Engineer must be able to produce high quality, high performance software that meets company's software development standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Design, code and test software using latest Microsoft technologies.
• Develops code derived from a design document using appropriate development standards
• Performs unit testing of the code and performs integration level testing with other features or products in the system.
• Provides complete, reliable, and prompt information to management.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of Infor systems elements and products, design and implementation tools used in the software development environment as well as current technologies in software development, computer systems and industry trends.
• Demonstrates ability to work in a large and complex software environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• A Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 4-5 years of programming experience in Microsoft technologies.
• Proficient problem solving, interviewing and fact finding skills.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
REQUIRED SKILLS: • Strong design and development experience of web applications or n-tiered applications
• Strong application programming skills using .Net, WPF, C#, VB.Net
• Strong experience with IIS programing interfaces like ASP.Net
• Development experience with Microsoft Sharepoint 2010, Webpart development, Sharepoint Farms
• Development experience with Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP Bind and other authentication mechanisms
• Web Development experience with JavaScript, HTML, XML, SAX, DOM, CSS, JSON, I18N
• Programming experience with Data access technologies like ADO.Net, OLEDB, ODBC
• Programming experience with X.509 certificates and MS Certificate Authority
• Familiarity with general LDAP and Networking programming, esp Active Directory, AD LDS
• Familiarity with ADFS, SAML and WS-Federation
• Working knowledge of SOA (WS-*) technologies and standards
• Familiarity with general security domain concepts (cryptography, access control, integrity)
• Experience with build systems like nmake, nant
• Familiarity with scripting languages like PERL, Powershell
• Working knowledge of Browser and HTTP Server functionality
• Ability to do rapid prototyping and iterative development using agile methods
• Experience with n-tier architectures.
• Understanding of operating systems and Operating system security.
• Ability to lead design and discussions
• Ability to do rapid prototyping and iterative development
• Ability to do test driven development
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
• Experience with distributed computing, multi-threaded programming or high volume messaging
• Working knowledge of Serialization, Socket programming
• Familiarity with general security domains: Authentication, Single Sign-on, Cryptography, Access control, Identity Management, Vulnerability mitigation and OWASP
• Familiarity with Java technology including J2EE and SOA programming in Java
• C or C++ programming knowledge
• Familiarity with parsers, rules engines and rules based systems
• Cloud development
• Familiarity with developing or using PKI and certificate based systems
• Familiarity with NoSQL or embedded databases
