The Position:
ebrary is seeking a skilled SharePoint developer/architect with strong data analysis and reporting experience to join us in the evolution and implementation of our Analytics team. This is a hands-on position, requiring solid design and coding skills and strong technical communications. We expect anyone coming on board to hit the ground running. Fully Agile processes govern our development and delivery cycles.
Our products support complex content aggregation, sophisticated business models, streaming and download document delivery, and unique user interaction. They are delivered as fully virtualized and cloud-based services with particular emphasis on automated deployment and management techniques.

What you'll be doing:
Design a scalable SharePoint based analytics and reporting web site.
Create periodic reports for ebrary customers in various formats
Work closely with the rest of the Analytics/Machine Learning team and translate data into compelling visual presentation
Be the in-house expert on the latest web front-end technologies.
What you need to be successful:
Bachelors' degree plus 6-10 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expert level knowledge of design and development on the latest version of SharePoint.
Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server PowerPivot for Excel.
Well-versed with standard Microsoft development technologies such as C#, ASP.NET.
Strong experience with HTML5, CSS, and Javascript frameworks such as jQuery
Ability to grasp new ideas quickly and translate them into useful product features.
Excellent written communication skills, including production of subsystem overview documentation and designs.
Able to listen and evaluate all opinions without bias, and contribute to a common culture of excellence.
Other core experience we are looking for:
Knowledge of various reporting servers
Experience using Web Services, preferably using Amazon Web Services to build applications and solutions.
Mobile platforms development (iOS, Android and supporting backends).
If you can show us your portfolio, that is a major plus.
