As our San Diego-based Senior Software Engineer for Platform Services, your mission is to develop the Webroot Web Filtering platform by building new features while improving the high availability, low latency, scalability and efficiency of our customer facing systems. Your ability to identify performance bottlenecks, failure points and to develop new technology to enable future scalability will make our platform the best in the industry. Your experience will include:
Software development in C / C++, C# cross platform in Microsoft Windows and Linux development environments
SQL Server and MySql experience: schema, stored procedures, SQL queries
Networking knowledge with expertise in HTTP and other Web protocols. Low level socket networking is an advantage.
Unix command line and text manipulation tools: sed, grep , regular expressions, shell programming
High-performance, high-availability, large data volume product development
Machine learning, mathematics, data mining, statistics background
Implementation of algorithms in C / C++
Cloud-based computing (Amazon)
Experience in a high-volume production service environment
