Senior Software Engineer - Player Development MobiTV

MobiTV is looking for a talented and driven Senior Software Engineer to join the mobile platform development team. This team is responsible for developing a framework for mobile applications on a plethora of platforms. Members of the platform development team are the first to work with new mobile devices before they hit market. In addition team members have the opportunity to work across multiple mobile platforms and stay current in various mobile handset technologies.
This individual will have the following job responsibilities:

• Develop frameworks that support rich mobile multimedia applications on a variety of handsets and mobile platforms such as Android, RIM, WinPhone7, iPhone, Linux, Symbian^3, MeeGo, BMP
• Develop tools to support application development
• Provide technical guidance to the test teams to and help building manual and automated test suites
• Work closely with Project Management on project schedules and participate in bug scrubs
• Work closely with QA to resolve issues
• Collaborate with OEMs to make their handsets compliant with the MobiTV suite of requirements

An ideal candidate for this position will have many of these attributes:

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent Java or C/C++ Skills
• 3+ years of software development experience
• Working experience in Java and Android SDK
• Experience with Android NDK, Multimedia, Graphics and Animations preferred
• Some experience with Python or Lua is preferred
• experience writing multimedia applications
• Experience developing & maintaining medium sized applications that support many different platforms
• A solid understanding of TCP/IP and writing network software
• Relaxed & flexible attitude
