SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - PUBLISHER PLATFORM The Rubicon Project
the Rubicon Project is looking for several senior software engineers to help build out new products and features for the Seller facing areas of our cutting edge online advertising platform.Responsibilities:
Be an ? end-to-end owner? of software services spanning technology boundaries
Translate business requirements into technical designs and project plans
Write production-ready code and unit tests that meet both system and business requirements
Help support operation of services in production
Respond to feature requests, bug reports, performance issues and ad-hoc questions
Work with multiple teams to deliver quality software
Requirements:
Experience building and operating large-scale, high-traffic Web applications and customer facing Web services
Serious experience with the following technologies ? Linux, Apache, HAProxy, memcached, Java, JSON, MongoDB, MySQL, Hadoop
Experience with test driven development
Able to balance high quality development with pragmatic and rapid delivery of products
Skills/Personal Characteristics:
Extremely productive contributor with a get-it-done attitude
Good communication skills
Work well in a highly collaborative team
Want to work in an environment where software engineers are not just cubicle coders but full participants in shaping the product and the business
