Job Duties
Essential -
? Be a member of the team responsible for understanding the business requirements, designing, building and implementing a new front office business application.
? Be able to implement functionality based on pre-defined business requirements and specifications.
? Be able to identify and provide solutions when design does not match the business need.
? Be responsible for delivering fully tested and documented functionality.
? Be able to implement functionality that must integrate smoothly into a large code base.
? Be able to work closely in a team environment for collaboration, yet, individually for the implementation of business functionality.
? Be able to occasionally work directly with the business to gather and clarify business requirements.
? Participate in design reviews and code reviews.
? Capable of delivering according to agreed upon schedules.
? Integration of ?legacy? systems with new application using Web Services.
? Create, execute, and document unit tests
? Provide technical leadership for other team members
? Communicate effectively with all areas of IT and its customers.
Requirements
Skills:
Essential -
? Be willing to learn and become certified in the Salesforce.com platform.
? Knowledge and practical experience in Web Services, including SOAP and RESTful protocols.
? Proficiency in Object Oriented development
? Experience in an enterprise environment, including adhering to development standards, testing, documentation and versioning.
? Web based front-end development experience (i.e. HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
? Ability to work effectively with other team members such as project managers, business analysts, and quality assurance analysts.
? Ability to see how the immediate, smaller project fits into a much larger and long term project.
? Excellent communication, organization and prioritization skills
Non-essential -
? Java development experience
? Eclipse IDE experience
? Experience using Hibernate, Spring and Maven.
? Experience using Struts, JSF, JSP, Tapestry, ASP or equivalent
? SalesForce.com, Apex, Visual Force
? JQuery
Experience & Education:
Essential-
? Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field
? 5+ years experience designing & developing enterprise level object oriented applications
