Senior Software Engineer Linden Lab
We?re looking for an inspired and driven Software Engineer to join the team working on our exciting new products. This position offers great versatility and challenge, and is perfect for an engineer who loves to constantly develop new skills. You will be working on a live codebase and have ample opportunity to make your mark as projects progress.What You?ll Do:
Architect and build new systems as well as improvements to existing systems
Collaborate with other engineers in an iterative, agile development environment on a live product
Participate in code reviews, whiteboard discussions, standups, and pair-programming on a daily basis
Provide day-to-day technical leadership in a collaborative fashion within the team, as well as across the company
Lead and participate in design discussions
Required Skills:
5+ years experience as a software engineer
A high degree of proficiency in either C# or C++
Results-oriented focus with an eye for prioritization of user-experience and with the ability to recognize when trade-offs need to be made and where
Collaborative and quick to adapt in a multi-tasking, quick-moving, distributed thinking environment
Strong 3d math skills
Bonus Skills:
Previous experience with Unity
Previous game industry experience
