Location: Downtown San Francisco - close to Embarcadero BART Station.Nextdoor.com is looking for fearless software engineers who love working on multiple challenges simultaneously. The engineers will be responsible for developing backend, server-side code. Ideal candidates thrive at the edge of chaos, treat their teammates like family, and love to get stuff done!

Qualifications
-- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
-- Extremely strong fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms.
-- Solid server-side programming experience in one or more of the following: Python, Java, C/C++, or Ruby (Python preferred)
-- Experienced with PostgreSQL or MySQL; able to build scalable, distributed systems to handle large datasets.
-- Strong collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written.
-- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced startup environment.
-- Want to work in San Francisco - we can help you relocate if necessary.
-- Strong desire to learn about new technologies and systems.
