Play an integral role in the development of innovative applications for the IPTV industry. The successful candidate will join Minerva?s Server Engineering Team developing an IPTV platform that allows for the delivery of carrier-grade video services, including high-definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) television, video on demand (VOD), pay-per-view (PPV), and digital video recording (DVR) over an IP network.
As a member of the Server Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Minerva?s product suite, including iTVManager. iTVManager is an open, standards-based IPTV middleware solution deployed by more than 110 operators worldwide, and is based on a variety of enterprise-class technologies, including Java and Oracle.
Required Knowledge
Strong J2EE, client-server, XML, HTTPS and multithreaded development experience.
Proven record developing carrier-grade software on a Linux platform.
Experience with Oracle 11g Database and Weblogic.
Adept in writing SQL and PL/SQL modules.
Technical knowledge of Video Servers and Conditional Access solutions.
Hands-on experience with various frameworks such as Spring, JPA, CFX is a must.
Familiarity of scripting languages such as Groovy, Javascript is a plus.
Required Skills & Abilities
Solid computer science fundamentals, with an understanding of how to design and implement software in a carrier-grade environment.
Understanding of client/server software implementation and/or distributed systems.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and with small and/or remote teams.
Fast learner, solid problem solver with great testing and debugging skills.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Required Experience
5-7 years experience designing and implementing scalable server-side applications.
BSCS, MSCS, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in the complete product lifecycle, from conception through delivery.
Experience with agile software methodologies is a plus.
