Senior Software Engineer - Systems/Platform Team Zettaset
We are looking for top-caliber systems engineers to design, architect, and implement our large-scale managed Hadoop systems. We are passionate about the "big data" space. The Zettaset Orchestrator? platform manages the health, security, provisioning, administration, and usability of enterprise Hadoop environments. You will be given lead authority over major subsystems of our software product, and will be able to significantly impact the entire company. We are looking for someone who is:Minimum Requirements:
Entrepreneurial, innovative and focused on deliverables
Constantly "Thinking Outside the box"
Strong experience in various flavors of Linux
Great systems background - understand security, throughput, latency, security, availability, scalability at all layers of the system
Working knowledge of Java and its infrastructure - JDK, JVM, and the Garbage Collector
Java, Linux shell scripts, MySQL
Significant distributed systems experience a plus
Experience with Hadoop, Hive, and MapReduce a huge plus
Additional Skills:
Ability to contribute to the system documentation efforts
Experience with the agile methodology
Working knowledge of git
