We are a seed-funded New York City-based "software wrapped in plastic" startup looking to rapidly expand our team with a few brilliant engineers who have the audacity to transform a market untouched in over 100 years. We have revolutionary aspirations, a vision that will transform the security industry and the way people think about connecting to physical places, their families and their communities. We're early stage, and we're looking for people who are leaders, who will form the team to spearhead our growth in order to change an industry and the way people interact with the world around them. At the same time, we are committed to helping the community around us, and building a startup culture that is fun and rewarding.Preferred Requirements:
5+ years of proven experience in a development role
3+ years experience building Python/Django web applications
Strong analytical and requirements gathering skills
Experience with Amazon EC2/AWS
Comfortable working at all levels of the software stack
BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related experience
Bonus Qualifications:
Startup experience
Familiarity with one or more of the following: redis, nginx, gevent, mongodb, mysql
Knowledge of C and C++
You're interested in "The Internet of Things" and Home Automation
You've built something with an arduino
You can immediately think of 10 things you'd like to 3D print on your first day working with us
