Globe Wireless seeks a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in wireless communications. Successful candidate will develop and integrate real-time wireless communications systems on Linux platforms.Critical Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
5+ years of software development experience in developing complex, reliable, and mission-critical software systems.
5+ years of coding experience using C++
Ability to develop and expose software components as Web Services for Service-Oriented Architecture
Knowledge of SQL including the ability to write and optimize complex queries
Experience working on and developing software for Linux platforms, with expertise in inter-process communications, multi-threading, debugging, fault isolation and performance optimization.
Detailed understanding of telecommunications systems and protocols is a must.
Experience developing services/products for cellular signaling applications using one or more the following protocols:
o GSM MAP
o SS7/TCAP
o SIP/RTP
o SIGTRAN
Experience with network programming (TCP/IP) and Linux shell scripting is desirable.
Experience in large scale software development in an OO environment is desirable.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within an international team.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Produce detailed design documents that meet department and industry standards.
Develop assigned components in accordance with requirements and detailed designs.
Proactively communicate to Software Manager and Technical Lead regarding the status and potential impacts on the delivery date and/or expected quality of the tasks and/or the projects.
Provide technical guidance and product expertise to Operations to resolve production issues.
Follow established development processes for assigned projects.
Education, Experience, and Job Knowledge
B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field;
