Rearden is looking for a Senior User Experience (UE) Developer to take design wireframes and visual designs of the next-generation Rearden Platform and bring them to life as high-fidelity, functional web browser-based prototypes conforming to the latest W3C Web Standards. The UE Developer will closely work with the Expense and User Experience teams in creating, enhancing and maintaining the User Experience of the Expense application.

• Building XHTML, CSS layouts and integration with application
• Creating, updating and debugging complex JavaScript functionality
• Estimating, scoping, designing and managing projects
• Working with other User Experience developers in the organization and coming up with development.
• Working in a multi-disciplinary user experience team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with different teams and business units to create a unified user experience

Experience leading a team of 2 to 3 on technical projects

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong portfolio featuring XHTML, JS, CSS and AJAX coding samples
• 5 to 8 years HTML/XHTML/CSS/JavaScript/DOM cross-browser development experience with large-scale web applications or sites
• Experience working with Javascript libraries such as YUI (preferred), Prototype and Scriptaculous
• Experience working on Groovy and Grails
• Understanding of server technologies such as JSP, PHP, Apache, Tomcat, etc.
• Experience working on e-commerce products, enterprise-level web apps/sites
• Experience working within an MVC framework
• Familiarity with accessible web development techniques (W3C WAI, Section 508, optimizing for Adaptive Technologies)
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix command line usage is a plus
• Experience with JSP/Java/Taglibs a plus
• Redhat Linux, Mac OS X, Win XP

Desired Qualifications:

• Understanding of REST style architectures

Understanding of standard build tools like Maven etc
