RESPONSIBILITIES
? 75% UI development, 25% server-side development.
? Design and develop user interface framework under Windows using .NET, C#, WPF/XAML.
? Design and develop specialized user interface controls using XAML and C#.
? Design and develop network management software interacting with firewalls, switches, etc.
? Write specifications and plans for new designs.
? Work closely with on or off-site development, integration and QA teams.
? Assist in writing help and technical documentation.
? Troubleshoot system and software problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
? BS Computer Science or equivalent experience.
? 8 Years software engineering industry experience required.
? Experience with commercial software development.
? Experience with C#, .NET, C++, WPF, and other Microsoft Visual Studio based languages.
? Experience with WPF/XAML required.
? Experience with multi-threading techniques.
? Understanding of simple interface design for unskilled operators.
? Experience with web user interfaces highly desirable.
? Familiarity with Virtual Machines (VMWare) highly desirable.
? Experience with network hardware/software like firewalls, switches, VPN, routing, etc. desirable.
? Experience with Windows Server functionality using Active Directory, WMI, etc. desirable.
? Familiarity with security concepts (especially DoD) and tools highly desirable.
? Familiarity with Linux and Expect (regular expressions) desirable.
? Strong communication/documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
? Strong work ethic ? someone who is proactive, responsible, and loves what they do.
