Senior Software Engineer - Web UI Skytap

As a member of our web team, you will be implementing novel features that must be easy-to-use while meeting security, performance, and scalability requirements. We use agile development techniques, and our service is built primarily on open source software and languages including Linux and Ruby. Experience with these technologies along with overall strong web UI development skills is required.
Key responsibilities:

- Champion Skytap's users and their experience with our web-based cloud computing service
- Work closely with a talented team of engineers and architects
- Meet security, scalability, and performance goals
- Rapidly build and evolve major features in collaboration with product management
- Communicate with management and customers
- Research and experiment with design ideas and implementation techniques

Required background and skills:

- BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- 4+ years experience designing and building polished modern web interfaces
- Deep knowledge of HTML/CSS development
- Experience with Ruby, Rails, Javascript, AJAX
- Ability to rapidly prototype features for a rich web application
- Experienced with RESTful web services
- Visual design experience
- Self-directed and a great team member.
