Senior Software Engineer, Wireless Solutions Edgewater Networks

Description: Responsible for taking concepts and prototypes to product stage. Initial project is to design and develop enterprise Heterogeneous Network Controller, including software specifications and code, testing and delivery, and support. Design and implementation of cellular protocol stacks (UMTS/HSPA/LTE) and network interfaces. Design and develop using SIP protocol and applications based on same. Maintain and develop system utilities for Linux platform. May require direct support of customer engagements analyze customer requirements, identify risks and develop solutions. Participate in rapid software development life cycle. Requires Master's degree in CS, EE or related technical field and 10 years of software engineering experience.

Required Skills: 1) C/C++ and multithreaded programming languages; 2) Linux environment (embedded Linux), tools, routing, firewalls, and utility/kernel development; 3) IMS, EPC, knowledge and experience; 4) RLC/MAC, RRC, RANAP 5) LTE interfaces X2, S1, IMTS Iu interface 6) GGSN/SGSN development 7) SIP protocol development; 8) networking stack, products, debugging tools and related routing technologies (TCP/IP, UDP, Ethereal, Protocol sniffers, netcat); 9) VoIP technologies and protocols; and 10) high availability systems. Experience may be gained concurrently. Experience with OpenGGSN is a plus.
